Who is This Workshop For?

Recommended Level to Participate - Beginning Improvisers Who Can...

1.   Comfortably/easily play their C Major Scale (Concert Bb) in one octave...starting on low C (below the staff) to C (in the staff) without consciously thinking about fingerings and note-names.

 2.   Identify and play written notes and rhythms on the treble clef staff

What's NOT Required to Join:

1. Experience with improvisation.

2. Experience with music theory or knowing what a major "ii V I" is.

Who is This Workshop NOT For?

  • Absolute Beginners who just started playing the trumpet. If you're having trouble with remembering fingerings and/or how to play certain notes, I don't recommend joining this workshop. The pace of the workshop will be too advanced for you to follow along. Learn the fundamentals first. Then come back when you're ready.

  • All instruments. This is a trumpet or B-flat instrument workshop only. I will primarily be talking and showing musical examples/exercises in B-flat transposition within a trumpet range.
